Texas-based SaaS company joins the only smart contract supporting blockchain currently running in real-world production, Ethereum
Amalto Technologies, the leader in Order-to-Cash, logistics and field data management, today announces its membership in the Enterprise Ethereum Alliance (EEA). As a member, Amalto will collaborate with other organizations within the EEA to further the open software platform that is based on blockchain technology. This technology allows companies and individuals to develop and deploy decentralized applications.
“Amalto is excited to be part of this initiative and work with other experts to advance blockchain technology,” says Jean-Pierre Foehn, Chief Executive Officer for Amalto. “We believe our knowledge and capabilities fit right in with regards to what other Alliance members are striving to accomplish and we look forward to contributing our expertise.”
As indicated on the Alliance’s website, “the EEA connects Fortune 500 enterprises, startups, academics, and technology vendors with Ethereum subject matter experts. Together, we will learn from and build upon the only smart contract supporting blockchain currently running in real-world production – Ethereum – to define enterprise-grade software capable of handling the most complex, highly demanding applications at the speed of business.”
Foehn also adds “Amalto has started to develop solutions addressing the Order-to-Cash process integrating blockchain technology and IoT sensors for the Oil and Gas industry; being part of the EEA will speed up our go-to-market strategy”
