It was a full house at The Petroleum Club, Calgary on May 25th, when several prominent oilfield services companies, along with some in the environmental services vertical, were demonstrated a three-pronged approach to reducing DSO and better cash management. Amalto Technologies, Spira Data and TrigPoint Solutions, presented their solutions for automation of field tickets, invoices and asset and workforce management via a mobile RFID enabled platform.
This lunch and learn opportunity was availed of by leading oilfield services companies Calmena Energy Services and Calfrac Well Services, and environmental services companies, Clean Harbors and Tervita. Flint Energy Services, Essential Energy Services, Precision Drilling, Step Energy Services, Bonnet Energy, Tucker Energy Services and Enermax were also in attendance, with representations from their finance, IT and Operations groups.
Jean-Pierre Foehn, CEO, Amalto Technologies said “By combining asset and workforce management on a mobile platform, e-field ticketing and e-invoicing, organizations stand to gain multifold in efficiencies and DSO reduction -- classic case of sum of the parts being much greater than the whole". "Any vertical where services are rendered in the field can really see value in automating these three processes, environmental services being another prime example”, he added.
